Real Voices, Real Experiences

Krishna, Age 15 years, (Family Forum)

I believe Family Forum has really helped out our family because, I mean, the rules that are set in place there really help with general, you know, making it so that discussions with your family when you're trying to let out your feelings or emotions don't turn into a shouting match and don't turn into somebody judging you and you can really be true and what you're saying is with absolutely no, like you can say say exactly what you're feeling with no, like, repercussions or anything. I think the best part about it is the fact that you can't really dispute anyone while they're talking during the thing, which allows for you to be completely free, and I think it means that people in your family can understand you more. I think that's definitely worked out for our family because we've really bonded a lot more. I feel like we're spending more time together as a family as well. So thank you so much.

Ramya, Mother of 2 teenage Kids, London (Family Forum)

When Kalpa first spoke to me about, family forum, while I liked the idea of it, I was a little skeptical on whether it would work for my family. However, I discussed it with the family, and we decided to give it a go. Now one year down the line, we started summer last year. We think it's been a great decision, and it has definitely helped the family. We have managed to discover things about each other in a very nonjudgmental way and in a very respectful space. All of us have been comfortable to say things that we would normally not have said otherwise. The first few sessions were with Kalpa in per in person. She has a very good structure and, walks us through it, helps us, through the first few, sessions before, she hands it over to us. We followed the framework. And for a few over a few months now, we have, modified it a tiny weeny bit, but on the whole, just skipped to the structure that she has come up with, and, it has really helped. The it's we've kept the same essence, and that has really helped us. For me, personally, even though I interact with my kids, I have 2 teenager kids very different from each other, and I interact with them every day, doing school runs, taking them to various activities over dinner, and just generally, it's always with me multitasking. Given our busy, lifestyles, I make every endeavor to listen and understand what they're saying, but, most of the times, I'm not able to give them full attention. And many times, many emotions and many things that is being that are being said, slip through the gaps, because I am not I'm not there 100%. Family forum has definitely found a solution for that. It's a space or it's a time that we all put aside, and now we've started looking forward to it. It's a time where we know we are not, we are not, a mother or a brother or a sister, and we discuss things. We talk about what's happened over the past month, what we're looking forward to. And, and it's also a very safe space because we know that there is the confidentiality thing, and it is not something that's discussed outside. As a parent, there are a few things that I take back, and, my partner and I do reflect on it, but it is all within the space that the forum has provided. It has definitely helped to bring up topics that are a bit touchy or, something that you don't wanna just talk about at a casual dinner table at casually at a dinner table. So, for us and for me personally, it has been really good, and, it is something that we would definitely continue, and try and continue doing. It's also the fun bits that we do as family. Once we've completed a few family forums, we do an activity or there've been times when we have played a little game before we start, which are all a part of the way it is done. Kalpa also introduced the concept of a family vacation, which we did last year and, thoroughly enjoyed. So, for us and for me personally, it is something that we have enjoyed doing, and, we definitely would like to continue doing it even after our first one's gone to university, which is very soon.

Sushant George Professional, Krayon (Life Coach)

I'm excited to share my experience of life coaching with miss Kalpa Kartik. It's been over a year now that I've been working with Kalpa, and the journey has been truly transformative. When I first reached out to her, I was struggling with decision making and was also feeling overwhelmed by the demands of my personal and professional life. Also, I was finding it challenging to see how much control I actually had over my circumstances. From our very first session, helped me gain clarity on these issues. And one of the most significant breakthroughs that we had was learning about internal and external control. She guided me to see how much power I really had over my reaction reactions and decisions, which was, an eye opening experience. In addition to that, one of the things that we worked on very closely was managing expectation, both of my own and those of others. Right? And, working with Kalpa has had a huge impact. She taught me practical strategies for setting realistic goals and how to balance them with my personal values and priorities. Perhaps the most valuable lesson that I've learned is about work life balance with Kalpa. Through her support, I have been able to create a good blend between my career and my personal life. I feel more in control, less stressed, and, this has actually impacted my overall well-being. I genuinely appreciate Kalpa's approach, which is both compassionate and, empowering. And she has equipped me with tools and insights to navigate life's challenges with, a lot more ease and a lot more control. If you're considering working with somebody for your life coaching, I would highly recommend Kalpa. She has made a remarkable difference in my life, and I hope she's able to do that for you as well.
